Ray Kauffman and Gerry Mefferd's 1935 voyage around the world in the ketch, Hurricane.

With their Mexican crewman, Hector, the young sailors spent 3 years traveling the seas and around a still unknown world in search of strange characters, colorful situations in exotic locales and, locating the great pubs of the world.

Along the way they manage to have their share of catastrophes, including a shipwreck. But their buoyant optimism keeps the story fun and unpredictably interesting.
